Tokyo rubber jumps to 28-year high

London -- Natural rubber prices continue to test the highs. In India, prices are at all-time highs, while prices on Tokyo's TOCOM exchange hit Yen 330/kg ($3.17) at the close. The six-month contract closed at this level, while shorter-dated contracts closed a little lower.
In Singapore, prices continued to rise, with short-dated TSR20 up by around $0.05 to $3.09.
In India, with futures trading suspended, local press reported spot prices hit all-time highs on Thursday. RSS4 closed at Rs 124.5 ($2.917)/kg.
