Kumho to hold groundbreaking for US tyre plant
Rancho Cucamonga, California -- Kumho Tire USA Inc. will hold a groundbreaking on 12 May for its $225 million passenger and light truck tyre plant in Macon, Georgia.
Executives from the Rancho Cucamonga-based tyre maker's parent company, South Korea's Kumho Tire Co. Inc., along with local and state officials are expected to be present, a spokeswoman said.
The plant is Kumho's first in the U.S. The plant should come on stream at year-end 2009 and employ 400.
