Swellfix appoints new chief commercial officer in US
Aberdeen, Scotland -- Swellfix, the UK-based producer of swellable elastomers for the oil industry, has named Steve Batchelor as the new president and chief commercial officer for their new Houston-based Americas headquarters, .
"Swellfix is aggressively expanding into the Americas -- we needed a proven leader who is well-known and regarded in the energy services industry -- and Steve is the ideal person at the helm," said John Dewar, ceo of Swellfix BV. "Steve has been in the zonal isolation market for more than 25 years, with nearly 40 years of overall energy services industry experience," he added.
In the new role, Batchelor will be responsible for building and expanding the North, South and Central American markets, as well as overseeing global marketing, public relations and corporate communications efforts.

For more than 20 years, Batchelor held increasingly senior positions at Halliburton Energy Services, culminating in being named vice president of zonal isolation. Recently, Batchelor was vice president of corporate development for Superior Energy Services, where he was responsible for global marketing and sales strategy, mergers & acquisitions and entering new country markets. Previously, he was chief executive officer of Casetech International, a leader in offshore drilling operations. Batchelor received his undergraduate degree from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
