Bridgestone confirms receipt of Statement of Objections over marine hose

Tokyo, Japan -- Bridgestone Corp. has confirmed that it received a Statement of Objections on 1 May, 2008, and its subsidiary in the United Kingdom, Bridgestone Industrial Limited received on April 30, 2008 from the European Commission with respect to alleged anticompetitive behaviour in relation to sales of marine hose.

Bridgestone said it will examine the European Commission's preliminary findings as reported in the Statement of Objections and will respond in due course.
