Bandag tread rubber prices to rise by up to 5 percent
Muscatine, Iowa - Bridgestone/Firestone's Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) division has increased US prices for tread rubber products by up to 5 percent, effective immediately, said the company.
The increase, which will not affect sales in Canada, is due to rising raw material and transportation costs impacted by “unprecedented energy prices,†BBTS president Saul Solomon said.
“We'll continue to focus on enhancing our operational efficiencies and increase productivity so that we may only pass on increased costs as absolutely necessary,†he said. “Our Bandag dealer network will continue to offer quality retread tyres, as well as preventative maintenance services to help fleet customers control their operating costs at a time when they need it most.â€
