ERJ staff report (DS)
Dublin, Ireland -- A Beijing-based consultancy is seeking potential clients for a report titled, "China Natural Rubber Market Review & Outlook 2007-2008" It is not clear if the report is already written or not.
The consultancy, Beijing Orient Agribusiness Consultant Ltd, said, "Hopefully, we shall make some correct judgements for the future natural rubber market in this report through in-depth analysis and studies of the natural rubber market in China in 2007. "
In the associated press release, the authors said, "In 2005, Typhoon Damrey played havoc with part of the rubber forests in Yunnan and Hainan. The yield in 2005 was only 510,000 tons, down by 10.6% from 2004. In 2007, with the recovery of rubber forests and the improvement of tapping technologies, it is expected that the output of natural rubber should recover to the level of 2004 or even better. "
From the website, it appears the report is available for a price of around Euro 2000, and was completed in February 2008.
ERJ has not seen this report and can make no judgement about its value or the quality of the research.
