Lanxess expects growth in China

Shanghai, China -- Lanxess has said it expects sales of its technical rubber goods products to increase in China. Speaking at a press conference at Chinaplas in Shanghai, Sweeney Sun, Marketing Manager for Business Unit Technical Rubber Products, APAC, said the company expects total demand for nitrile rubber (NBR) to grow at around 5.4 percent annually in the Apac region; chloroprene rubber to grow at 5.6 percent and EPDM demand in APAC to grow at 5.3 percent annually.
He said automotive applications account for about 46 percent of all Lanxess sales of technical rubber materials in the region.
