Chrysler recalls 180 000 cars for TPMS wiring faults

Washington, DC -- Chrysler is recalling 180,963 model year 2007-2008 Sebring and Dodge Avenger vehicles equipped with a standard tire pressure monitoring system (tpms). The company said in a submission to NHTSA, that unused electrical connectors for the TPMS may become corroded and could short circuit, which can lead to engine stalling and could cause a crash without warning.
The cars were mostly sold in the United States and North America.
