Hong Kong firm wins Asphalt rubber deal in China

Hong Kong -- King Tech International Ltd said it has has signed a significant supply agreement with Guangdong Gaintop Highway Group Limited "Gaintop" to supply large amounts of asphalt rubber. King Tech said it expects the agreement to produce sales of 40 000 tonnes of asphalt rubber in 2008, with 20 percent growth each year, representing an equivalent total target value of up to GBP30 million (Euro 38 million) in 2008 and 2009. This agreement will last until 2017.
King Tech makes 5-mesh (2 - 4mm), 10-mesh (0.8 - 2mm) and 20-mesh rubber (below 0.84mm) from recycled tyres. It says its product, King Tech Asphalt Rubber ( KTAR), "is an excellent paving material which utilises reclaimed rubber derived from scrap tyres and blended at high temperature with conventional asphalt."
The comapny said on its website that it " is expanding the asphalt rubber business in China. King Tech Group has presence in Beijing, Jiangsu and Guangdong, providing asphalt rubber design, production, construction and research and development services to different provinces. It lists projects in Liaoning, Beijing, Shandong, Jiangsu, Hubei, Guangdong, Sichuan and Hong Kong.
