Trelleborg to increase prices globally
Milan, Italy -- Trelleborg Wheel Systems S.p.A. will raise prices 8 to 10 percent on all of its aftermarket and original-equipment products later this month.
The commercial tire and wheel manufacturer said the price hikes, which will be global, are a result of higher raw material costs.
“The raw materials, if you look at all the commodities like rubber and oil, are skyrocketing,†said Ydo Doornbos, managing director of Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc. “Unfortunately, there is no possibility (without increasing prices) for Trelleborg to offset those costs.â€
All increases will fall into the 8- to 10-percent range but will vary in different markets, Mr. Doornbos said, adding that he expects to see more increases in the coming months.
