Lanxess raises prices for non-tyre rubber
ERJ staff report (DS)
Leverkusen, Germany -- Lanxess AG is to increase its prices worldwide for a number of its synthetic rubber grades effective 1 April, 2008. According to an announcement by the Technical Rubber Products business unit, the price increase per metric ton will comprise up to EUR 100 / USD 150 for Buna EP (EPDM), up to EUR 250 / USD 375 for Baypren (CR), up to EUR 200 / USD 300 for Levapren/Levamelt (EVM) and up to EUR 200 / USD 300 for Perbunan/Krynac (NBR).
Lanxess said the adjustment was inevitable because the costs for raw materials and energy have risen significantly.
