Fire & Toxic Emissions Resistance of Elastomers meeting set for June in London

London RIEG (the Rubber in Engineering Group of The Polymer Society a Division of The Institute of Materials, Minerals & Mining) is to hold an afternoon technical discussion meeting on Fire & Toxic Emissions Resistance of Elastomers. The event will be at IOM³ headquarters in London, on Friday 20 June, 2008.

The programme: includes the following papers:

• Richard Hull - Professor of Chemistry and Fire Science, University of Central Lancashire - "Fire Retardants and Fire Toxicity"
• Gary Duggan - Consultant to London Underground Ltd - " The Products of Fire and their role in Fatalities"
• Jeff Heaton - General Manager, Trelleborg Protective Products - "Flame Resistance in Chemical Protection Clothing

The programme is subject to change. Attendance at the meeting is free of charge for members of the IOM³, however a small charge (less than £20) may be made on the day to non-members.
