Conti reshuffles executive board responsibilities
Hanover, Germany -- Continental has re-shuffled the responsibilities of its Executive Board. The company's Supervisory Board has approved the changes.
Alan Hippe, chief financial officer, will take charge of the Passenger and light-truck tyre division from Manfred Wennemer (60), who previously headed this division in addition to chairing the Continental AG Executive Board. September 30, 2008, Dr. Hippe will additionally take charge of the ContiTech division, succeeding Gerhard Lerch (64), who will retire at that time and relinquish his seat on the Board.
r. Hippe will continue to discharge the duties of CFO until such time as his successor in that office is appointed. Executive Board chairman Manfred Wennemer will continue to be additionally responsible for the Interior division.
There will be no change in the responsibilities accorded the other members of the Executive Board.
