Spot BR prices hit record highs on tight supply - ICIS

Singapore -- Spot prices of butadiene rubber (BR) hit a record $3200/tonne CFR delivered to southeast Asia, according to chemical intelligence providers, ICIS.
ICIS said prices may rise further as prices of butadiene monomer are not abating, while demand remains strong. Contractual arrangements are now taking most supply, leaving little available on the spot market, said dealers, quoted in the ICIS report.
A series of expansinos in tyre factories in Asia and elsewher ehas increased demand, said te report.
