Bridgestone breaks Michelin monopoly on Citroen OE
ERJ staff report (DS)
Brussels -- Bridgestone has confirmed that it is to begin supplying tyres to Citroen as original equipment. Michelin has historically supplied all Citroen's tyre needs.
A report on the Dow Jones Newswire quoted a spokesman for Citroen's parent company, PSA Peugeot-Citroen, saying Bridgestone will become a second-source supplier for tyres on new versions of its C2 and C3 compact sedans when they are launched in the latter part of 2009. Bridgestone confirmed the news.
