Akron, Ohio -- Goodyear has named James Firestone, president of Xerox North America, to the tire maker's board of directors.
Firestone, 53 -- who is no relation to the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. family -- has run Xerox's North American operations since 2004 and also has headed the company's channels group and served as Xerox's chief strategy officer.
“Jim has a wealth of managerial experience with a diverse group of respected companies, including Xerox, IMB and American Express,†said Goodyear Chairman and CEO Robert Keegan in a statement.
