International rubber conference opens tomorrow in Udaipur
Udaipur, India -- The India International Rubber Conference and Expo (IIRC) 2007 opens here tomorrow (1 Nov), and continues until 3 Nov. Almost 600 delegates, including 150 from abroad, are expected to participate in the event.
The event is being organised by Hari Shankar Singhania Elastomer and Tyre Research Institute (HASETRI), an independent research institute promoted by JK Tyre and Industries Ltd, in association with Indian Rubber Institute and Mohanlal Sukhadia University (MLSU), Udaipur.
R. Mukhopadhyay, chief convener, IIRC, said that the conference is being organised to bring together scientists, technologists, industrialists, managers, engineers and other professionals working with rubber and allied material technology to provide a valuable forum to discuss latest technological opportunities, trends and developments in the field.
'The basic objective of this conference is to provide support to MLSU Udaipur to set up a full-fledged centre for polymer science and rubber technology for the promotion of education and research in rubber science and allied material technology,' he said.
