Trelleborg reports growth in Q3
Trelleborg, Sweden -Â Trelleborg AB reported strong growth in the third quarter and in the nine months to 30 September. For the nine month period the company said sales increased to to SEK 23 172 million (€2525 million) from SEK 20 342 a year earlier. Operating profit increased to SEK 1745 million from 1339 milion, while net profit jumped to SEK 999 million from SEK 788 milion.
CEO Peter Nilsson said, “Efficiency measures in the operation and continued focus in the operation on profitable segments creates increased growth and improved margins."
In a statement,the company said, "Operating profit in continuing operations, excluding items affecting comparability, increased by 49 percent. All business areas reported increased operating profit and margins as a result of healthy volumes and the continued successful focus on more profitable segments.
The Group said it continues to assist the authorities in the ongoing competition investigation into the marine hose market. The company has not changed its view on the likely impact of those investigations on the Trelleborg Group.
