DuPont Elastomers wins Vamac business, markets it alongside Viton
Düsseldorf, Germany - DuPont has decided to move the Vamac acrylic elastomer business into its DuPont Performance Elastomers subsidiary. Previously it was under the plastics activities of DuPont. The change will be effective from 1 Jan., 2008.
DPE has launched a new initiaitive called V Solutions under the leadership of Jean-Marc Imbert to act as a 'market-facing group" to support sales of DPE's Vamac and Viton products.
Vamac is an acrylic elastomer - AEM (Ethylene acrylic elastomer) which offers good heat and oil resistance at a lower price point than DuPont's range of Viton fluoroelastomers.
