Amtel's Kirov plant wns ISO 14001 and ISO/TS 16949
Moscow, Russia - Amtel-Vredestein NV said the Amtel-Povolzhye (Kirov) Tyre Complex received the ISO 14001:2004 Ecology Certificate and the Certificate of Accordance with the ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality standard. TThe company did not say which accreditation company certified the tyre plant as meeting the standards.
In a statement, Amtel said, "Amtel-Povolzhye is the first tyre plant in Russia to receive the Certificate in Quality Management according to the ISO/TS 16949:2002 standard. This Certificate is given as the result of the following criteria: the plant meets international standards of safety requirements, implements improvements in technological processes on an on-going basis, and guarantees reliable high quality production."
The ISO 14001:2004 indicated the plant meets international ecological requirements. Application of the integrated environmental system ensures ecological safety in tyre production, optimization of resource conservation and prevention of environmental pollution at every stage of production.
