Bowie, Maryland -Â The US Tire Industry Association (TIA) has named eight new members of its 'Tire Industry Hall of Fame'
Norman Affleck, retired President and CEO, of retailer Big O Tires; and Craig Anderson, retired President and CEO of Hercules Tire & Rubber Company are named as recipients of the 2007 Tire Industry Hall of Fame
Six additional inductees were selected for the â€œHistorical Contributorsâ€ category that was created in 2005.
The six individuals chosen for induction as â€œHistorical Contributorsâ€ are: Ira J. Cooper who founded the company now known as Cooper Tire and Rubber Company; Robert Eisentrout, former President of BF Goodrich Tire Group; Otto and Willy Gruber, founders of Otto Gruber & Company known today as Rema Tip Top; and Rudy Holman and Neil McIntyre, developers of the Orbitread extruder.
