Lanxess starts work on Rhein Chemie - 70 jobs to go
Mannheim, Germany - Rhein Chemie Rheinau GmbH is to re-structure, following negotiations with employee representatives. Rhein Chemie is to invest around €7 million in the modernisation of
existing units and the construction of new production facilities at its Mannheim site.
However, part of the deal involves the loss of 70 jobs in the next few years. This aspect of the programme, together with other efficiency savings is designed to save €5 million annually.
