Goodyear's Fulda plant gets new production director
Wolverhampton, UK - Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Ltd has said that Eugene Jonker, production director at Goodyear's Wolverhampton plant, will be moving to Goodyear Dunlop's tyre production plant at Fulda, Germany from January. He is replaced by Ian Taylor (pictured), who will be responsible for the company's two UK Manufacturing sites at Bushbury, Wolverhampton and Fort Dunlop, Birmingham. Taylor is currently production manager at the company's Fort Dunlop tyre manufacturing operation.
The Fort Dunlop plant employs over 200 people, predominantly manufacturing motorsport tyres, and the Wolverhampton plant employs over 350, producing compounds for export to many of the company's European plants, including Fort Dunlop and retreading truck and bus tyres under the NextTread brand.
