USW impugns safety of Goodyear tyres during strike
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -Â The United Steelworkers' - the union that is on strike against Goodyear - is suggesting that consumers ask tyre salesmen if Goodyear-brand tyres are safe. The Union quotes a reports made during investigations into the Ford Explorer tread saparation incidents, saying, "A Princeton University study has linked labour strife, including the use of replacement workers, with the production of defective tyres."
