Titan inks five-year tyre supply agreement with Deere
Quincy, Illinois -- Titan Tire Corp., a subsidiary of Titan International Inc., has entered a new five-year agreement to supply Deere & Co. with construction and forestry tyres.
Deere´s senior management asked the Illinois-based tyre maker to help them meet tyre demand and overcome shortage challenges in the wake of Titan´s recent acquisition of Continental Tire North America Inc.´s off-the-road (OTR) tyre plant in Bryan, Ohio, in July.
"Titan is pleased to step up for Deere and supply the company with number-one quality American-made tyres," Titan chairman and chief executive Maurice Taylor said.
The company said its investment in the world´s largest rim line to produce new single-piece wheels in place of multi-piece wheels would pave the way for the development of enhanced tyres for the OTR market.
"Agriculture and off-highway wheel and tyre products are Titan´s core business," Taylor said.
"Titan plans to expand our current OTR production in the next 12 months to meet growing needs."
