DKT opens in Nuremberg
Nuremberg, Germany - The DKT has opened amid scorching temperatures in the southern German city of Nuremberg. AT the opening ceremony, Reinhard Stober, chairman of the DKG called for more emphasis on education, to make school students aware of rubber and its benefits to society.
Stober said the event, held every 2 years, is becoming more international than ever, with over 760 delegates registered for the conference, from 36 countries. The 110 papers, include 70 from 24 countries outside Germany, a record, he said.
The exhibition, held in an adjoining hall holds 205 exhibitors, another record, according to Stober. He said the DKG has been promoting the rubber business in German universities for some years, and called on the industry to extend that promotion into high schools. “If you know any high school teachers, “ said Stober, “Tell us their names so that we can send on information about rubber to them, and see if they would like an expert from the rubber industry to visit their school.â€
The DKT runs from today (Monday) until Thursday at the Nuremberg Messe in Nuremberg, Germany.
