Matador increases sales, profits in 2006
Puchov, Slovak Republic - Matador Group reported strong growth in sales and profits for the 12 months of 2005. The group's tyre division made the strongest contribution to the growth, said the company. In a statement, issued in May of this year, the company said group sales increased by over 34 percent, to Skk16 652 million (€409 million). Pre-tax earnings (EBITDA) also grew strongly, to Skk1832 million (€47.9 million), compared with Skk1463 million a year earlier.
In the tyre division, the company said, it generated profit (EBIT) of Skk840 million on sales of Skk 10 300 million. The company said the strong growth is continuing into the first quarter of 2006.
