Michelin introduces new tyre for telescopic handlers
Stoke-on-Trent, UK - Michelin has launched the new XMCL, a tyre designed for compact construction machinery such as backhoe and compact loaders, and telescopic handlers used in farming applications.
Michelin says the XMCL lasts up to 46% longer, and its crown and sidewalls are up to 10% more resistant to punctures than its predecessor, the Michelin XM27. Michelin said an operator can reduce costs and significantly improve productivity just by fitting the new model. Among the features that make the new tyre so tough are deeper lugs, steel casing belts and protective sidewall ribs, said the company.
Replacing the XM27 and XM37, the new Michelin XMCL is currently available in four sizes - 460/70R24, 440/80R28, 340/80R18 and 480/80R26. Eight new sizes will be added to the range in September 2006.
