Frenzel takes over Freudenberg development centre

Weinheim, Germany-Dr Ulrich Frenzel was appointed director of Freudenberg Dichtungs- und Schwingungstechnik's Technical Development Centre in Weinheim.
Mechanical engineer Frenzel was previously head of Research and Development at FDS and before that worked in the development teams of two prestigious seal manufacturing companies, said FDS in a statement.
At elastomer technology specialist FDS (which focuses on polymeric and rubber- or plastic-to-metal bonded parts for sealing and vibration control in automotive and industrial uses) Frenzel will be advancing customer-driven innovations in seal technology,†said the company's statement on the appointment.
FDS is the largest division of family-run Freudenberg, and generated € 1055 million in sales in 2004 with its 9000 employees in Europe.
