Colonial Heights, Virginia -- Performance Fibers says the expansion of its Polyester industrial fibre and yarn plants in Kaiping, China is,"on, or ahead of schedule." The company expects to bring the facilities on stream, as planned, in the first quarter of 2006.
According to a statement from Performance Fibers, "This expansion will increase our DSP yarn capacity and our DSP fabric capacity in China by more than 300 percent." The statement said, "As part of this expansion, the company is building the infrastructure for a further doubling of the expansion capacity," which Performance Fibers said would come on stream in 2008.
