Suzhou, China-German rubber compounder Gummiwerk Kraiburg GmbH & Co. KG has set up a mixing operation in Suzhou, 80 km from Shanghai, in China.
Kraiburg Rubber (Suzhou) will start up its first mixing line in the first quarter of 2006 making compounds to Kraiburg's well-known quality standards, the company said in a press statement following a groundbreaking ceremony on 8 August.
Space for further mixing lines is available, as needed, and the firm said it intends to offer customers in China all of its wide compound portfolio, in all the usual elastomers-standard and speciality types-as well as in black-filled and coloured forms.
Kraiburg set up its wholly owned subsidiary-Kraiburg Rubber (Suzhou) Co. Ltd-in February 2005 and in June bought a 20 000 sq.m site-capable of being extended-and started to develop the facility.
