Carlisle Companies announces appointment of new group president

Charlotte, Noth Carolina -- Carlisle Companies Inc. has announced that Michael Popielec has been appointed group president with responsibility for the operations of Carlisle Braking Systems, Carlisle FoodService, Tensolite, Trail King Industries, the Walker Group and Johnson Truck Bodies.

Mr. Popielec was most recently the chief operating officer of the Americas of Danka Business Systems, a global distributor of enterprise imaging systems and services. He also brings to Carlisle eighteen years experience with General Electric Company where he served in various senior management capacities including President and ceo of GE Power Controls, Industrial Systems.
