Willcox to retire; Avon Rubber announces new management

    Bradford-on-Avon, UK--Avon Rubber has announced that chief executive Steve WIllcox will retire at the end of September. The company has announced that finance director Terry Stead will take over as chief executive from 1 July. Peter Slabbert, the group's current financial controller, will become finance director at the same time.

    Trevor Bonner, Chairman of the Board of Avon Rubber p.l.c. said, “Steve Willcox had indicated some time ago his wish to retire once an appropriate successor was appointed. Having considered external and internal candidates, the Board is delighted that Terry has accepted our proposal that he become Chief Executive. We are sure that he will carry the Group forward with great success. We offer our best wishes to Steve on his retirement and thank him for many years of service and leadership at Avon. Peter's appointment as Finance Director is also a product of our succession planning process and we look forward to his contribution to a wider range of Group activities.
