EU car registrations continue to fall
Brussels--Total Europe (EU-23 + EFTA) passenger car registrations in March 2005 amounted to 1,709,616 units, which represents a decrease of 4.7% (and of 3.5% in the EU-15) with respect to March 2004.
ACEA, which published the figures, said, "these figures are
heavily influenced by the Easter break falling this year in the month of March (which implied from 1 up to 3 working days less depending on the country)" The organisation said the numbers confirm the sluggish economic environment in the first quarter of 2005.
