Minneapolis -- Private equity firm, Norwest Equity Partners (NEP) has announced that its portfolio company, Longwood Industries, LLC, which makes diversified industrial rubber products goods, has acquired Winnipeg, Canada-based KT Industries Ltd., as part of its acquisitive growth strategy. The transaction closed on March 7, 2005.
KT supplies specialty tapes to its global customers in the graphic arts, packaging, and wire and cable industries. Founded in 1968, KT has grown to have over 50 patents and more than 150 employees in Canada and the United States.
