Comerio Ercole buys Meccaniche Moderne rubber business
Busto Arsizio, Italy--Comerio Ercole SpA has bought the rubber machinery interests of Meccaniche Moderne SpA. From now on Comerio Ercole will make, sell and service all machinery relating to the rubber sector made by Meccaniche Moderne. Neither side revealed financial details of the transaction.
In a statement, Comerio Ercole said, "The range of machines and equipment [made by Meccaniche Moderne] integrates perfectly with the production schedule of Comerio Ercole Spa, therefore the customers will take benefit from a strengthened technical engagement."
According to a letter Meccaniche Moderne sent to its customers, it has decided to stop all its rubber industry activities and concentrate instead on extrusion. The machinery transferred in the transaction includes two-roll mills, internal mixers and calenders for the rubber and plastics sector.
