China's rubber cultivation stagnates
Kottayam, India--According to the director of Rubber Research Institute of India, rubber cultivation in China is not making rapid progress. Dr N.M. Mathew, director of the RRII has completed a study tour of the country and is quoted in the Hindu Business Line, saying that productivity rates in the country are low and not increasing.
Mathew said a lot of rubber is grown in Yunnan Province which is relatively cool, and the farmers are using yield stimulants to increase output.
