Global price hikes for Kraton G
By Patrick Raleigh, ERJ On-line news editor
Houston, Texas-Kraton Polymers is increasing prices for Kraton G-its range of hydrogenated styrene-butadiene and hydrogenated styrene-isoprene copolymers-by Euro250/tonne ($300/t or $0.135/lb) worldwide. Prices for Kraton G compounds are also to rise by Euro165/t ($200/t or $0.09/lb).
The increases will apply to all regions and all market segments with effect from 15 Nov, said an 11 Oct Kraton statement. The firm linked the hikes to rising energy, raw material, packaging, and transport costs, as well as “sustained growth†in demand over the last 18 months.
