Cary, North Carolina- UCAR Emulsion Systems, part of Dow Chemical Co., is raising prices for its emulsion products and rheology modifiers. The hikes include $0.035/wet lb on styrene-butadiene products with effect from 1 July and a 3-percent increase on rheology modifier pricing.
The increases will affect all market segments, including architectural and industrial coatings, adhesives and sealants, and are due to rising raw material, energy and compliance costs, said a 28 May Dow statement.
