Lion Group aims to increase share in Chinese tyre factories

Malaysia's Lion Group is reportedly in discussions to take full control of its joint venture tyre operations in China. Malaysia's Star newspaper quoted Lion chairman Tan Sri William Cheng saying that Lion is “in talks to take over at no cost the remaining 45% stake in Dong Fung Tyre Ltd in Shiyan, Hubei province, and Changchuan Tyre Co Ltd in Changchun, Jilin province.”
