Zeon raises SR prices
Tokyo-Zeon Corp. has announced price increases across its entire range of synthetic rubbers with effect from 1 April. The Japanese group's portfolio encompasses styrene butadiene, butadiene, nitrile, hydrogenated nitrile, chlorohydrin and acrylic rubber.
The increases range from Yen19/kg (Euro0.15/kg) for polybutadiene, up to Yen25/kg for chlorohydrin rubber.
“Product profitability has continued to suffer due to price hikes for crude oil, naphtha, butadiene, styrene and acrylonitrile despite our continuing efforts to reduce manufacturing costs,†said a Zeon statement.
