By Patrick Raleigh, ERJ On-line news editor
Heerlen, The Netherlands-Paul Hamm has left DSM, having quit his position as president of DSM Venturing & Business Development towards the end of last year. He led the DSM unit since its formation in March 2001, following a three-year stint as director of DSM Elastomers.
“Hamm has not joined any other company. He has decided to take some time off,†said a DSM spokesman. His replacement is Henk Numan, who has been appointed as director of DSM Venturing & Business Development, the group announced 10 March.
DSM Venturing & Business Development's portfolio encompasses a range of activities. These range from fledgling businesses, including Thortan hydrogenated nitrile rubber, to mature or for-sale operations, such as the Dutch Group's styrene-butadiene rubber unit.
