Six killed in India, as polybutadiene rocket fuel explodes
An explosion at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota, India has reportedly killed six and seriously injured three more. The solid propellant booster plant within the complex exploded at about 4 pm local time on 23 Feb. The plant makes hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB), a well-known rocket fuel.
