Lam elected IISRP president for 2016-2017
New Orleans, Louisiana – Wing Keung, (Hendrick Lam), senior vice president of TSRC Corp. has been elected president international of the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers (IISRP) for the year 2016-2017
Lam’s appointment was announced at the association’s 57th annual meeting in New Orleans on 13 April. He succeeds Greg Nelson, who now becomes IISRP past-president international.
Lam is in charge of Applied Polymers Business Unit. He joined TSRC 17 years ago and was in charge of various joint venture projects and technology licensing, and acquired Dexco Polymers for TSRC in 2010.
Before joining TSRC, he worked as president of DTMC in the US, group CFO for China Pacific and financial controller for First Pacific Bank of Hong Kong.
In addition to Lam, who will also serve as president to IISRP’s Asia Pacific section, the other members elected to the Institute Executive Committee for the year 2016-2017 are:
- Yaumasa Yamokoshi, Asahi Kasei Chemicals, Asia Pacific vice president;
- EMEA section: Ralf Irmert of Trinseo, president, Enrico Lucchese, Versalis, vice president;
- Americas Section: Peter Herzog of TSRC Dexco Polymers, president, and Robert Handlos, Firestone, vice president;
- Ken Hertl, Goodyear Chemical, treasurer.
Continuing to serve on the executive committee are Abraham Brink of Karbochem and Juan Ramon Salinas, IISRP’s managing director & CEO, assistant treasurer and secretary.
