Freudenberg rebrands to increase focus on medical markets
Kaiserslautern, Germany – Freudenberg Group has introduced Freudenberg Medical as a new umbrella brand for its offerings to the medical device and pharmaceutical industries.
The new brand, which encompasses the group’s Helix Medical and MedVenture Technology names, is intended to emphasise global development and innovation capabilities of the business, said a 12 Aug Freudenberg release.
“Under the HelixMark and PharmaFocus premium brands Freudenberg Medical offers silicone tubing and related products to the pharmaceutical industry. MedVenture Technology specialises in the development and manufacture of minimally invasive systems and catheters. Freudenberg Medical also develops and markets proprietary Ear, Nose & Throat applications under the InHealth Technologies brand.”
With over 40,000 associates around the globe, Freudenberg Medical has access to a network of R&D facilities and can support customers from material and design optimisation to mass production of complete medical devices, the statement added.

Our new brand, Freudenberg Medical, underlines our commitment to be the preferred global development and innovation partner for medical device and pharmaceutical customers,” said Jorg Schneewind, president and CEO of Freudenberg Medical.
Freudenberg Medical also holds a 50-percent share of two joint venture companies located in Ireland − VistaMed, a manufacturer of catheters and catheter components, and Cambus Medical, a maker of metal hypotubes for catheter systems.
Freudenberg Medical currently has ten production sites located in the US, Costa Rica, Germany, Ireland and China, all equipped with certified cleanrooms and the majority are registered by the FDA.
