Spokane, Washington State, USA – A Horizon Q400 commuter plane landed safely at Spokane International Airport on the afternoon of 20 May after declaring an in-flight emergency with one blown tire on its landing gear, reports Rob Kauder of kxly.com.
Horizon Flight 2358 left Portland International Airport at 3:33 p.m. and was scheduled to touch down around 4:30; shortly before it was to land an emergency was declared due to a blown tire. Its arrival time was pushed back as the aircraft circled the airport.
Spokane Airport spokesman Todd Woodard confirmed there was a tire blown on the aircraft.
Fire and rescue crews were mobilised to the runway where the aircraft touched down safely a few minutes after 5 p.m.
