ContiTech highlighting anti-pollution hoses at Bauma
ERJ staff report (BC)
Hanover – At the Bauma construction equipment show, ContiTech Fluid Technology is presenting its selective catalytic reduction (SCR) hose line systems with heatable rapid connectors.
SCR systems remove noxious nitrogen oxides (Nox) from diesel exhaust gases. In catalytic converters, a urea solution called AdBlue is used to react Nox to steam and nitrogen.
ContiTech’s SCR hoses are designed to ensure that the solution does not freeze and is transported securely from the tank to the catalyst at any temperature.
The company is also exhibiting charge air hoses designed for all commercial vehicle applications in the - temperature rating range -50 to +250°C, and at pressures up to 3.5 bar.
