London -- Rubber prices dropped further over the weekend reversing the recent rally. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract were trading down by 7 yen at yen 310 ($4.04) per kg at the close of trading on Monday 30 January. Shorter-dated prices continued below yen 300, to close down 1 yen at yen 298.
In Singapore, the TSR20 contract on SGX was trading down 4 cents at $3.74 for June deliveries and down 4 cents at $3.70 for February deliveries at Monday's close.
In India, NMCE said February deliveries fell by 4 Rs during the day, but then recovered to close down one at Rs 193 ($3.88).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange contract for March fell by half a yuan to close at Yuan 27.6 ($4.37) per kilo when markets re-opened after the New Year break.
