NR price recovery continues

London -- Rubber prices continued their slow upward trend overnight. On Tokyo's Tocom Exchange, prices for the six-month contract closed up 5 yen at yen 279 ($3.62) per kg on Wednesday 16 Nov. Shorter-dated prices rose faster to close up yen 8 at yen 268.
In Singapore, SGX said RSS3 for delivery in May 2012 was unchanged amid light trading, while short-dated prices were up $0.08 at $3.47. TSR20 for March delivery was up about $0.04, trading around $3.46.
In India, NMCE said December deliveries remained below Rs 200, but followed the global trend, rising by 7 rupees to close at Rs 186 ($3.65).
In China the Shanghai Futures Exchange saw December deliveries also rise by just under a yuan to close at Yuan 26.1 ($4.11) per kilo.
