Dana supplies tyre inflation system to US military vehicles

Washington DC -- The Oshkosh M-ATV, Textron ASV, and Navistar MaxxPro vehicles-- as well as many other military vehicles -- are fiited with the Spicer Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS) from Dana Holding Corp.
"Dana has a long history developing products used in the military market," said Mark Wallace, Dana's president of On-Highway Driveline Technologies. "Our expertise in energy conveyance and mobility make us the ideal partner for military vehicle OEMs wishing to incorporate cutting-edge technologies and industry-leading support into their vehicles."
Dana said, "With the press of a button from inside the cab, Spicer CTIS technology maximises vehicle mobility by adjusting tyre pressure to the optimum footprint on any terrain. This innovative system enables a vehicle to escape threats, bringing soldiers to safety in the most strenuous environments."
